Fast carbohydrates are also called simple carbohydrates. They are in sugar, sweet fillings, soft drinks and yogurt drinks with sugar, sweets, cakes, pastries, fruit juices and smoothies. But potatoes and everything from white flour (white bread, white pasta and white rice) are also rich in fast carbohydrates. Most people eat too much of this type of carbohydrate.
As the name implies, fast carbohydrates increase your blood sugar levels rapidly. Your body responds by quickly making insulin, which causes your blood sugar to fall again. Those peaks and troughs ensure that you get hungry and start snapping.


Slow carbohydrates are also called multiple or complex carbohydrates. They are found in brown rice, wholemeal products, bulgur, oats, quinoa and legumes. Vegetables, fruit, milk and yogurt also contain slow carbohydrates.
Your blood sugar works well with slow carbohydrates. They slow down the absorption of glucose and ensure a stable blood sugar level. Moreover, slow carbohydrates often contain a lot of fiber. Fiber not only reduces blood sugar spikes, but also gives a feeling of satiety earlier and longer. This means you are less likely to snack between meals.


And now the key question: what about eggs? Do they even contain carbohydrates and, if so, are they bad or good carbohydrates? Eggs are naturally low in carbohydrates and the carbohydrates contained in them are good, slow carbohydrates. They fit cooked, baked, and poached, so great in a low-carb diet. Moreover, the idea that eating a lot of eggs is bad for your cholesterol levels has long been obsolete.
Eggs also provide a lot of proteins. These proteins ensure long saturation, which makes an egg a good food if you do not want to snack too much between meals.  Good for the line ! One boiled egg gives you 7.7 grams of protein and only 0.9 grams of carbohydrates. One fried egg contains 0.6 grams of carbohydrates and 8.1 grams of protein.
